Additions for a home lover, entertainer, dog owner and gardener.
A house design to include for Brodie, the owner’s border collie…..
An addition to an existing villa in Grey Lynn. The client had been thinking about the project for 10 years and despite this prolonged incubation period was very open and trusting of the architectural process. The kitchen addition freed up space within the existing cramped kitchen/dining space and a small deck was closed in to extend the existing living area. Low E double glazed timber joinery and above code insulation have provided a very warm comfortable environment even through winter with the client not having to heat the space. The garden design was also part of the scope of works and was designed to tidy up an existing ignored space and to provide a habitat for the clients border collie, Brodie. First time for designing a house and garden with a dogs interests in mind.
